News | April 2022 Gippslandia, Autumn 2022

Gippslandia, is a quarterly magazine in newspaper form, for and about, Gippsland a region in the South Eastern part of Victoria, Australia.

Ita a unique publication in that it promotes stories of success and innovation, seeding ideas for positive change and spreading the upside of life in Gippsland. Each issue is birthed with a theme. The theme for Autumn 2022 being Sound.

I have been working on a series of coloured pencil drawings accompanied by poems. these drawings have been inspired by the spirit of my home in Metung — a waterfront village on The Gippsland Lakes. Amongst the collection is one titled I Think of Beethoven which seemed to resonate with the theme for the Autumn issue of Gippslandia.

I felt very honoured that my drawing and poem was not only published in this issue but beautifully and sensitively presented as a full page feature. it’s a great feeling to contribute to this brilliant magazine. Thank you Gippslandia!
